Huntor, Could Wind's problem be the switchable graphics HP uses on laptops with Intel/AMD configuration? It was a problem with upgrades to 8/8.1 when, rather than go back to win 7, laptop gamers were looking for and using modded drivers to recapture full use of their AMD GPUs. I haven't seen it, but...
