A Night Over Russia

Post by UK-Sapper »

Played the map best as possible except starting spawn point between 'A' and 'B' spawn points.

completed misson at way-point Alpha but next mission target AI would not die nor the computers blow up. tried various thing for a hour then gave up.

some kinda fault in the map I think.

ATVB hope it can be fixed good map

Soooo you were the one. I came in and tried to kill the bad guys in the command center but they wouldn't die. I got killed and the map ended in failure. Mapmaker needs to check this map to find out what's up.

When the map next comes on I will try again.

looks like a dam good map it was just the AI in the bunker /Command room that would not die.

So will try it again and see what happens.

Just as an aside, we have experienced a few maps not finishing in BO 1.6.

A couple of my maps as well as Bubba's maps have had to be cycled for similar reasons and we're at a loss to explain it. Especially since they are oldie maps and have never had problems before.

I have the computer stations set to indestructible not the AI's at the last objective until the chemical tanks are destroyed. However, after testing the map on Bubbas server I did add an area ploop to stop a player from being able to take the next PSP before completing the current objective. So, I guess I could remove the computer stations being set to indestructible.

As for other map problems, I cant figure out why my maps that ran perfectly on my server for months on end did not with BO1.6 besides the fact that I have a hard time making a simple, straight forward map. I always seem to complicate the matter by creating a scenario which really is not necessary which might be overloading the WAC so to speak or maybe because the majority of my maps were made on an XP box and conflicts with W10.

I was converting my maps for BO1.6 and kind of gave up due to the frustration I experienced with WAC issues.

I have another map Saipan ready to go which only has roughly 160 lines of WAC which I tried to make as straight forward as possible (at least for me) but I was reluctant to send to Bubba in fear of another failure. I also believe I fixed the issues with May Day as well and I will tweak A Night Over Russia

I'll send them over to run them up the flag pole and see what happens

Hey RD

Don't quit on making the maps buddy. they are good. a few teething problems do not make a failure.
I take my hat off to the map makers as they do what I can not.
Now I know failure as I cant retain the map making data.

I can only say to you and the rest of the map makers :

Thank You as without you the game would be boring as hell.

I think I can speak for most game players and some of the PG squad.

Stay proud my friend you will do it.
