Servers down

Post by viiper-PG- » Sun Jun 30, 2019 1:52 am

Looks like something happened to Primetech or higher up their food chain. A little after 12 AM Sunday morning, all servers disappeared from the lobby.

I think it was aliens.

I emailed that Huntor guy and let him know. It's probably the video card or Bluetooth dongle compatibility problem.

Everything is back up. I believe Windows Update caused the restart. You used to be able to pre-install the updates and the server would sit until I manually restarted it. Well I guess that isn't true anymore. I will need to look into if there is a setting to stop that. What a pain Windows!!!!!

I found this and applied. So hopefully this will not happen again.

Another way is to use gpo to disable forced restarts

Navigate to the following path: Computer Configuration\Administrator Templates\Windows Components\Windows Update

In the right pane, double-click the “No auto-restart with logged on users for scheduled automatic update installations” setting. Set the setting to Enabled and click OK. After reboot the server or run gpupdate /force

Actually I think his debit card and pin number is in there. Now we just need to know what his mothers maiden name is and we should be able to get into everything.
