For you guys that want to learn how to make maps but are reluctant to take on the COOPS, here is something I could use some help on and its a good learning experience for you.
When V1.4 is finally released I would like to add some Search & Destroy maps to our Event Schedule. The V1.4 now has a very good selection of items that are useable in S/D maps and the games are a lot of fun.
Any of you that would like to learn how to make these maps and contribute to the S/D map rotation for our events can post a reply to this post and I'll get with you and get you started.
Thanks,
Bubba

Re: Search & Destroy Maps
The biggest thing in building an S/D map is using ONLY certain objects that are modified to work with S/D. These objects can be located by going into the Map Editor then into the "Insert" mode, select "ALL" in the Insert Item popup and then select "Search_and_Destroy under the Subtype Filter.
There are some items in there that are not practical to use in an S/D map such as barricades, chairs, luggage carts, etc. My understanding from Huntor is that even though these objects appear elsewhere under buildings, decorations, etc, if they are not selected from this particular list they will not work. These are the items that make up the "Item Count" at the top right of the game screen.
Be sure to make the blue team items blue and red team items red so they will show up in the game on the map and the spin compass.
When saving your maps, use the prefix bo4sd in front of the map name . . . i.e., bo4sd_map_name.

Re: Search & Destroy Maps
If you can blow a building up I can fix it so it will work in S&D. I thought I got most of them but let me know. Anything that blows up can be added.
