Windows 8

Post by The Texican-PG- »

Anyone using Windows 8?

Is it worth paying the money?

Is there any other operating system that I can use that will work with DFX2?

I'm looking for full version of Windows 7.

I'm having issues with my computer and I think I need to reinstall my Windows.... just checking my options

I haven't heard any good things about Windows 8 and gaming.

When I had my new gaming computer built a few months ago I asked the guy that was going to build it about Windows 8 . . . he said he would put Windows 8 on the computer if I wanted it but he STRONGLY recommended against it. He said they have sold several high-end computers with Win 8 that were capable of handling current games and he has heard nothing but complaints from his customers about how they performed.

I agree with this. Windows 8 is really designed for a tablet interface. Like some of your all in one computers with touch screens. You can use it if you know what you are doing. But when it comes down to which is better 7 or 8. 7 will beat it silly.

7 is really your only option these days.

Agree............. but if anyone has an older computer that will not handle W-7 and cannot find or don't have their W-XP recovery/installation disk or cant afford a new computer, I can send a copy of a corporate XP-Pro disk that does not require a key number to install.

I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium.

I think I may have deleted some of the files for my Razr keyboard and Razr mouse.

Something was bogging my system down and I removed some programs I no longer use and some program called Synapse for Razr that didn't do anything useful.

MY monitor started "blacking out" and then I got a pop-up in lower right corner saying my video driver failed.

Downloaded the nVidia driver and so far so good.

I wonder if that may have been causing my computer to freeze.

Will continue to monitor and hope that problems resolved.
