Trace Route Program

Here is a link to Whats Up Visual Traceroute program.

It works very well and will help you determine which network is having problems and also give you the name of who owns what.

For example last night with one of the comcast networks my ping was going from 16 to 140. This is how I know the datacenter network was doing okay but my lovely ISP provider sucked.

All you have to do is put the ip address in the Host and hit Trace. It will show you each network hop that it takes to get to the game server or location of your desire.

Great program. Used it to check the trace to primetech. 9 hops and highsest Latency was 20ms.

Going to run this during our next "disruption" and see the change in results.
