Thinking of upgrading my video card. I currently have 2-GTS 250's in SLI mode and thinking of getting 1-GTX770 and not using SLI.
I have 4 GB of Ram using W7 Pro/64bit and thinking of upgrading to 8 GB of Ram but question weather or not it would be worth the money. I am at 48% usage while gaming.
Any thoughts/suggestions/feedback would be appreciated.

Re: Upgrade
The GTX 980 is not a bad card. It is about 10% faster than the 780 and it will cost you less to run because it only uses around 165 watts. I believe the 770 will push over the 200 on average. So it will save you some $$$$. The other nice thing is it comes with 4gig ram. Moving up from 4 to 8 gig is recommended as any machine I built these days have a minimum of 8 gigs. 4 is just not enough these days.
If you are thinking the 980 is to much then get yourself the gtx 970. Why buy 3 year old technology. GTX 970 runs around 145watts to save you even more on the electric bill. Also windows 10 will be out next april and the 970/980 and windows 10 support directx 12. Thats another reason not to get a 770.
770 2gb $254
770 4gb $315
970 4gb $330
980 4gb $549
The 970 does out perform 770.
So when I look at this the best bang for your buck is the 970.

Thanks for the feed back. Where did you find the 970 for $330.00?
What are your thoughts on SLI?

They come and go in stock. They have been out for roughly 3 weeks to a month.
My 980 works pretty good. I had some issues but it wasn't related to the video card. It was a bios setting and I was running my ram to hard. So far no hiccups with this card.
Just figured I would get you something that will last longer. That 770 been out for damn near 3 years.

Re: Upgrade
My line of thought was I have been use a GTS 250 which is basically a 9800 card over clocked and a 770 for 200.00 bucks would get me out of the stone age
However I see your point of view on purchasing 3 year old technology when 100 bucks or so would bring me closer to current. 500 or 600 hundred bucks is a little hard to swallow
I appreciate your input Huntor, Thanks!
