Bought a SYX SG-103 intel P67 550 Gaming PC and having problems after doing updates and driver installs.
Intel core i7-2600 3.4GHz 1155 8M 95W CPU
8GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM
MSI P67A-C43 (B3) ATX Motherboard
1 TB 3.5" SATA 3G 7200 RPM HD
GeForce GTX550Ti 1GB GDDR5 PCIe VC
24x DVDRW Dual layer SATA
500w 80 PLUS PSU
Windows 7 Premium
What is happening is I get about 10-15 seconds of the computer locking up (can't do anything) then go back to normal for anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes then another 10-15 seconds of locking up.
I was using Google Chrome and got the BSOD after only 2 days of use!
STOP: 0xc000021a {fatal system error} blah blah blah 0xc0000006 (0x77a75159 0x0082f000) the system has been shut down.
rebooted and no other BSOD..... googled and it may be several different things but can't find a lot on this error for Win 7.
Thinking of doing a system restore but wanted to ask the experts before I did.... besides I have to drive to Laredo today and then do inventory of my parts when I get back..... oh joy!
All help appreciated,
Jack

Re: New Computer, New Problems
Download the free version of SIW and check the teperatures.
http://www.gtopala.com/siw-download.html
P.S. free version is toward the bottom of that page. See if it will tell the temp of cpu (all cores) northbridge, and graphics card temp. Alot of those errors can be caused by temperature issues.

Re: New Computer, New Problems
Thanks Huntor
it showed:
Core 0: 100 (96-107 range)
Core 1: 89 (85-100 range)
Core 2: 94 (94-107 range)
Core 3: 91 (87-102 range)
Package: 100 (96-107 range)
VCideo Card: 87 (85-98 range)
Reimaged drive and did not load any updates or drivers and it still is locking up.
Called tech support and they want me to reseat the video card, which I am about to do. If that doesn't work it's going to be shipped back for repair.
I can hear a fan (maybe video card) which sounds like it is going on/off and whining every few seconds.
Thanks for your help!
Wish me luck I'm going in!

Re: New Computer, New Problems
Yeah the temps seem to be in range. Well some of the new motherboards run a system that will only start the fan at a certain temp in order to save on electric bill.
My temps run around
102 to 126 for processor
video card 111 to 121.
I dont think reseating will fix the problem. I think you either have bad ram or motherboard is going.

Run this.
http://windows.about.com/od/maintainand ... mfiles.htm
Click your start button and in the search box put this
SFC /SCANNOW
This sometimes fixes windows system files that are corrupt. SFC stands for System File Checker.
