Need help with making maps

Greetings!

I have been making DM maps for a while, in preparation to learn harder COOP mapmaking. I want to put in choppers in my DM maps that can be shot down using the stingers. Does anyone the specific type of chopper that works with this or am I missing something completely different?

Unless the chopper has been made indestructible, a stinger should take down any of them. It may take a couple of stingers for some of the bigger choppers.

Are you having a problem taking choppers down with stingers in deathmatches?

I use the indonesian choppers with rocketpods and minis, and the stinger will not lock onto any of them.

It's probably because there are no teams (Red or Blue) in deathmatches . . . everyone is equal and the same probably applies to the vehicles. I would imagine that if you were able to make a vehicle red or blue in the IA settings no one would be able to attach to them because the default setting for the deathmatch start points are neutral which would make the players neutral.
