The Texican's movie review "21 Jump Street"

Post by The Texican-PG- »

For those fans that grew up watching '21 Jump Street' on TV you may be hesitant to go see this remake.

I was...... but I'm glad I decided to give it a try.

This movie is more of a comedy than the original tv series.

It's a pretty dern good movie too.

Jenko (Channing Tatum) and Schmidt (Jonah Hill) are classmates in high school. Jenko the 'jock' but dumb as a brick and Schmidt the 'nerd' who has no friends. Years later after graduation they run across each other while attending the police academy. Jenko can do all the physical stuff but is flunking out on the paperwork part. That's when Jenko and Schmidt become friends. Jenko helps Scmmidt out with the physical aspect and Schmidt helps Jenko out with the brains part. They finish police academy and a placed on bike patrol together... that's where the hilarity begins. They end up being reassigned to the 21 Jump Street program to catch drug dealers in a local high school.... Won't bore you with more but give this movie a try.

I give this movie 3 burros up.... NOT to be confused with burritos.
