Is there any trick to lining up tunnel pieces?

The reason I ask is I have tunnel entrance, endcap and 9ft straight pieces in my map and I think I've got them lined up but when I go in and move through the tunnel the next piece dissapears and reappears as I walk into it. Alignment off? They look aligned.

Looking at the bottom image, the tunnel piece seems to be overlapping too much. This will cause flashing or disappearing to occur.

Using the zoom on the editor, zoom the ends of the pieces in as far as you can. On each side of the tunnel piece you'll see what appears to be 3-D squares. There is also a single line at the end of the tunnel piece that runs from one side of the tunnel to the other.

Align the square boxes from one tunnel over another so that the single line of this tunnel piece is just barely inside the last line in the inside of the opposite tunnel piece.

It's a little difficult to explain and really, the only way you'll learn to align them is through trial and error. I'd be happy to get with you on Teamviewer and show you rather than trying to explain it. It will save you hours of agony! :D

another tip: once you have a tunnel piece lined up at the proper elevation (Z axis) select that piece go to edit item attributes turn on (check) absolute height and lock. then just copy and past that piece and it will come in at the correct Z elevation. if you want a different tunnel piece, just again go to edit item attributes and click on the item bar and choose the item that you want. It will come in at the correct elevation.

I've already learned about the 'absolute height'..... comes in handy.

Thanks for the help.
