Can I speed the internet up on windows 8?

The only place you can. Go to the windows shopping tile. You will see the first thing listed is windows 8.1.

Might take two hours to download and install. I would guess you already have windows 8

Mine is like my Windows 7 screen. After boot up just click on the "desktop" box and it stays until you want to go to different places.

You can make windows 8 boot to desktop everytime. Which I prefer.
