The PlayGround DFX2 Forum

Followed the description in the BO section of the forum.
1. Copied the dfx2 folder to a new location
2. Installed BO 1.0.1 and 1.2
3. Game won't start. Get error message:
"Application load error 5:0000065434"

Repeated 1. and tried just starting the copy. Same message as above.

I suspect some kind of security thing going on in W7, but don't know how to address it.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Don't you have to make yourself the Administrator for the game or is that Vista?

I purchased the steam version today and the dfx2.exe file is different then the original to work with steam. That is a steam error not a windows 7 error. If you install windows xp you will get the same error.

The remedy for this is to get a non steam version of dfx2.exe and this will fix the issue. Ask bubba to zip and send to you.
Steam file version is 4,828 kb.
Novalogic original is 4,484 kb.

This means 344kb of code was added to work with steam.

P.S. You will be asked to activate product as well. Just use your normal login.

You can probably copy the executable file from the game you have on your XP computer if it's not a Steam Version. If it is, let me know and I'll zip the executable on my computer and send it to you.
