Surround Sound

Using G35 USB headset which has surround sound.
Well this weekend for some unknown reason I had issues with MY weapons and explosions sounding muffled. I can hear everyone elses weapons fine and footsteps sound okay too. Some sounds in 4 speaker (like explosions) sound muffled but weapons works okay and under 2 speaker mode everything works. Checked all my switches on my headset but nothing fixed the problem.
I updated my G35 driver and thought I had it fixed. Left the server and came back later and it was doing the same thing again.
