Is this a Pc that you upgraded to Win 10 or had Win10 installed on a OEM PC? I am wondering if there is something with OEM versions of PC's versus custom built, Clean Windows 10 install. I am able to edit my map and save and export and it plays as edited. Just throwing out that something on the PC installed by the OEM could be messing with things.

I am not sure Viiper. I clean installed my pc when I got a new m.2 hard drive. Then upgraded to the fall release and that is when I had troubles with it. The weird thing about this is I can take the old med from the bomod throw it into the original DFX2 and it runs. However if I try it in the bomod folder it doesn't. But the med editor that comes with the mod works if I set the Override high DPI scaling behavior Scaling performed by Application.

I must set this setting for either med to work in any DFX2 game. I don't have to run Compatibility Mode as it works in any mode. So it might even have to do with the monitor and resolution/hardware you run. I might try setting my monitors to 1080p and see what happens. I have 4k monitors so this might be why it is different.

P.S. changing resolution didn't do anything.

My PC was built with Win 7. I downloaded and upgraded to Win 10.

For what it's worth, I took my PC to my computer guy and showed him my MED problem.

We spent a few hours trying different things and he couldn't figure it out either. He recommended I revert to Win 7.

Thinking about it!

I ran into the same problem, I can get the med editor to work but once I closed the program and click on the med icon it crashes and then I have to go through the troubling shooting process again to get it to work. I am holding out for Microsoft to find a solution for the problem. ;)

Same thing happened to me after installing the Creator's Update. Luckily I still have my XP computer running to work on maps.

Joe,

Before you go back to Win7 try the following, if you haven't already done so. This appears to have helped folks play older Delta Force games on win10.

Open Control Panel

Click on Programs and Features.

Upper Left click "Turn Windows Features On or Off".

When the list populates find Legacy Components, you might have to scroll down.

Click the tiny PLUS to the left of Legacy Components.

There is Direct Play item in there and make sure it is CHECKED. Click OK.

Windows will have to configure itself and follow the directions.

Thought it was worth a shot. Tried it and no change.

It's not a problem with the game running, the problem is getting the Map Editor to run.
