Interesting... it looks like a screen shot of the rocket launcher... and there is a Angel Falls manual on the desktop scattered among some plotter size screen prints...

It is either very well staged, or maybe some work is actually ongoing... one guy with a sugar buzz from a Coke, one guy thumbing the manual, one guy goofing for the camera, and one guy actually looking at the screen (or hiding from the camera)...

I guess if I were the CEO, and this were my only communication to the world about my new product, I might have selected another image to share.

Yeah it doesn't sound like a real email of any sort. But for them to post anything about the game and it is a staff member. None of us users can lock a thread so it is real. But we will see. Was to come out in 2008 I would imagine they have to be close to being done.

it's real... they are watching the cutscene from the load up of the alpha that is currently being tested.

The game is real.

Betas should be out by June.

Well the good thing about this game is that it was totally rebuilt from the ground up. So no more nova engine well not the old one. Generally when companies build a brand new engine its a 5 to 6 year process. It is the same reason why it took EA going from BF2 to bad company. Both COD and BF series are now pumping out games left and right because the existing engine is the same. So all they have to do is create the stuff which only takes 2 years in between. A lot of people slammed nova for not getting a game out sooner. Well that average 6 year frame for a new engine is right on target.
