Cannot join The Server :(

i have downloaded Bo mod 1.1 an 1.3 but i couldnt get in always says i have punted i donno why ? even other server ..
i hope u have a answer for me .

NOTE: IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DOWNLOADED THE MODS INTO YOUR NovaLogic/Delta Force Xtreme2 game, neither your DFX2 game nor Black Ops will work. You will have to delete and reinstall the game again. Be sure to update the game again after reinstalling it.
This post has been updated to show download instructions for V1.5. We will not be using BO V1.3 After February 9, 2013.

Here are the steps to set up for Black Ops V1.5

First, create another folder in your program files and call it something like NovaLogic Black Ops or whatever you want to call it.

Next, copy your DFX2 game from the NovaLogic folder and then paste it into the new folder you just created.

Next, go to http://www.bomod.net/ and download "Black Ops Mod X2 1.01 Download" and save it to your desktop.

Next, go back to http://www.bomod.net/ and download "Black Ops Mod X2 1.5 Download" and save it to your desktop.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD "BO Mod X2 for DFX2 Update 1.2

Next, run the "Black Ops Mod X2 1.01 Download" and when prompted, select the DFX2 game inside the folder you created for the Black Ops Game.

Next, run the "Black Ops Mod X2 1.5 Download" and when prompted, select the DFX2 game inside the folder you created for the Black Ops Game.

That's It!

Yes exactly what bubba posted. Most likely your DFX2 is not fully updated. There is a small update problem with the original game. If you run the update.exe in delta force xtreme 2 folder and it loops then you need to copy the update.exe and revupdate.exe file in the update folder to the main folder and overwrite those two files with the new one. Then run the update.exe again and it should install to the current version with all correct files.

It is a shame that nova F'd that up.

Also which version of DFX2 do you have there are 4 of them.

DFX2 digital download from nova
DFX2 CD/DVD version
DFX2 Multiplayer edition
Steam download DFX2

Try going into the DFX2 game file. There is a file there named update.exe. Try double-clicking on it and see if it will update.

I did some searching at NovaWorld's forum and found this post. It appears a lot of people are having the same problem. All I can suggest you do is try this.

If it is the cd version then send an email to information@novalogic.com

At least that is what they are telling the public on the twitter page if they are having issues.

I just test the update server seems to be working fine on my end. It could have been down the last time you tryed. Try again should be working now.

Good job, but. There is a way to fix the looping update. Inside the Delta Force Xtreme 2 folder you will see another folder called update. There are two files inside that. update.exe and revupdat. All you need to do is copy those two files paste them in the main directory (Delta Force Xtreme 2) overwriting the old update.exe and revupdat and this will fix the looping problem. It will also download other missing files from nova. Which will also mean you need to re install bo mod 1.01 and 1.3 on a newly updated DFX2.

You may get kicked on some maps without this update.

Yes. Run update make sure it gets down to like 4000kb or something like that for the check. Then you should be good to go.

The problem you are having is fixable. The key is getting the right updater to run. The version you are seeing now is 2.1.4.2 . . . .you need version 2.1.4.3. and this version is created when you follow the steps Huntor laid out in his post.

Several of the squad members had the same problem and with Huntor's help they were able to get the correct updater to run and then got the game to work.

Maybe Huntor will see this post and be able to help out a little more with it.
