WMI

Post by Windstalker-PG- »

Every time I boot up since the last Windows update I get this message WMI has encountered a problem and needs to close. I looked it up and this is a windows management instrumentation. I followed the advice in some of the blogs, but it still occurs.

Well I guess it would depend on which update caused the problem. If you can narrow down that update and uninstall it should resolve the issue.
Are you still running xp?

Could also be a virus running in the background.

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

These two programs are great for searching for spyware type programs. Can't hurt if you haven't tryed it yet.
