How to update from a fresh install

After install from dfx2 CD don’t run any updates. Click on this link ftp://ftp.novalogic.com/C3/trz5gg/DFX2Install.exe and it will automatically download the file
if it dont then go to this link http://www.novalogic.com/kb_article.asp?ID=578 And down load the second link ftp://ftp.novalogic.com/C3/trz5gg/DFX2Install.exe
After downloading, just run the program and choose "repair" the installation. This will bring you to the latest ver whitch is Ver. V1.7.5.7
or you can copy and paste " ftp://ftp.novalogic.com/C3/trz5gg/DFX2Install.exe " without the quotation marks in your internet browser and it will automatically download the file then do repair at install.

If you going to install BO MOD 1.3 First make a copy of your DELTA FORCE EXTREME 2 copy and paste it in same directory (which should be in drive C /Program files or (x86) /NovaLogic ) and rename the copy to DFX2 BO1.01 Now Download and install BO 1.01 and make sure you direct the install to the file DFX2 BO1.01 Now copy and paste DFX2 BO1.01 and rename the copy to DFX2 BO1.3 Now Download and install BO 1.3 final and make sure you direct the install to the file DFX2 BO1.3 you should be good to go. not for me.
i can get into the game for a few minutes then i get punted. i've tried everything i can think of. my next step is to completely remove dfx2 and from the registry. then start from scratch.

That's probably your best bet. You may have problems updating the game because when you do, the update just loops. This is the best way to do it. It was posted by Huntor about a year ago and it works.

There is a way to fix the looping update. Inside the Delta Force Xtreme 2 folder you will see another folder called update. There are two files inside that . . . update.exe and REVUPDAT. All you need to do is copy those two files paste them in the main directory (Delta Force Xtreme 2) overwriting the old update.exe and revupdat and this will fix the looping problem. It will also download other missing files from nova. Which will also mean you need to re install bo mod 1.01 and 1.3 on a newly updated DFX2.
